The Premier League returns after an action-packed first couple matchdays.

Plenty of Traders will have their eyes glued to the TV in Saturday’s early kick-off as high riser Teemu Pukki will hope to add to his four goals fo far. Whilst later in the day, the only clubs with perfect starts – Liverpool and Arsenal – are battling it out on Saturday evening.

Premier League Match of the Weekend: Liverpool vs Arsenal

Anytime two top-six sides lock horns, it often doesn’t fail to entertain. The hosts have begun their 19/20 season off to a flyer with two Premier League wins over Norwich and Southampton and also some European silverware in their trophy cabinet. Arsenal usually start their Premier League campaigns strongly as this term is no different. The Gunners have grabbed victories over Burnley and Newcastle but face their first tough test this Saturday.

The Reds will have comfort in knowing their front three are all ready for action and have already opened their season accounts. Watch out for Mohamed Salah, who seems as spritely as ever and has already created an incredible amount of chances for himself and his teammates.

Arsenal have invested well over the summer and the immediate impact will please Unai Emery. Dani Ceballos is a great coup for them and looks to be the most technically proficient midfielder available for either side this weekend.

Rest of the weekend

In other notable Premier League action, Aston Villa host Everton on Friday night with both hoping their heavy summer investments can kick them on to strong starts.

It’s a battle between two of the Index’s highest risers from last weekend as Teemu Pukki and Norwich face off against Mason Mount and Chelsea.

Sheffield United play Leicester City in a match that will have plenty of exciting youth for Traders to watch closely and Aaron Wan Bissaka plays his old club Crystal Palace in the red of Manchester United.

Moving to Sunday, champions Manchester City travel to Bournemouth and the aforementioned Tottenham play an unorganised Newcastle side.

Premier League Player to Watch: Lucas Moura vs Newcastle (£1.37)

The 27-year-old proved his importance to Spurs with an instant impact coming on as a substitute against Manchester City on the weekend. With Hueng-Min Son returning from injury, it is unlikely the South Korean will push his way straight back into the starting side, which could leave plenty of minutes for Moura after last weekends antics. Surprisingly he has gone down in value over the past seven days, so he could be worth a punt with some Traders thinking he will continue to ride the bench. Coming up against a Newcastle defence that has already conceded four goals with give the Spurs attack plenty of confidence.
