Inside the Index: Liverpool Edition

What a special Champions League night at Anfield we saw yesterday.

Liverpool overcame all odds and won 4-0 to book their place in the final, and the Index was thriving.

Before delving into the biggest risers, let’s see yesterday’s Dividend winners.

Tuesday 5th:

Media: Lionel Messi (1230) 2p

Star Player: Divock Origi (171) 2p

Top Forward: Divock Origi (171) 5p

Top Midfielder: Georginio Wijnaldum (136) 5p

Top Defender: Trent Alexander-Arnold (139) 5p

Alexander-Arnold (£2.44) delivers the goods

Showing composure and awareness way beyond his years, Trent Alexander-Arnold was one of the key performers for Liverpool.

Assisting on the night, but also a colossus on the defensive end, his value has risen sharply as the world takes notice of the fullback.

No Salah? Origi (£0.70) delivers

When Origi does play for Liverpool, he leaves his mark.

His performance yesterday far outweighs his last minute winner in the Merseyside Derby, as the Belgian strikes twice to help send Liverpool through to the final.

Delivering the Dividends, Origi’s value is on the rise from a night Traders and football fans won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Wijanldum (£0.52) you little dancer

When Wijnaldum came on to replace Andrew Robertson, very few people envisaged his leaving Anfield with a brace.

A rapid riser overnight, Wijnaldum will long be a fan favourite at Anfield, and also Traders by the looks of it.

A promising final for Salah (£4.70)

Absent on the night, Salah’s rise could be down to some long-term thinking from Traders.

With one eye on the final in Madrid, Salah should comfortably be back in the fray by then, and his rise could be down to hopes of a big final performance.
