Group F provided even more excitement as Inter Milan’s 2-1 defeat to a Barcelona side without Lionel Messi – coupled with Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 win – meant the Serie A side missed out on the knockout stages, and will instead compete in the Europa League in the New Year.

Tottenham Set to Ring the Changes Against Bayern Munich
Tottenham Hotspur face Bayern Munich in their final Champions League group game this evening with very little to play for, as both sides are through to the last 16 and Bayern already confirmed as group winners.
It means that Jose Mourinho is poised to rest a number of his big-name players and go with a more inexperienced side at the Allianz Arena, resulting in a couple of price increases for some of Spurs’ young players.
Troy Parrott (£2.14) is set to come in for Harry Kane and his price has increased by 32p in the past week. The Republic of Ireland international made his first Premier League appearance at the weekend, but will be desperate to impress on a much bigger platform if he starts this evening.
Another player on the up is Ryan Sessegnon (£2.02) who has enjoyed a more modest 4p increase, while Mourinho has heaped praise on him in the build-up this week by comparing him to Ashley Cole amid talk on his future position.
And while there’s nothing to play for per se, Spurs will be wanting to avenge the humiliating 7-2 defeat they suffered at home to the Bundesliga side in October.
