END OF AN ERA AT ATLETICO?

Tonight’s Champions League semi final is the second leg of the Madrid Derby with Atletico welcoming rivals Real to the Vicente Calderon. The imperious Old Lady are awaiting the victor….

It was Cristiano Ronaldo (£3.23) who stole all the headlines and a double buzz victory with his heroics in the first leg last week. Since his hat trick he has risen by a huge 76p a future in seven days! That’s a phenomenal growth with no transfer rumours at present! Speaking of transfer rumours, you can’t have missed the Madrid players trending and rising on the back of speculation linking them with a move away. Surely the lenses of photographers will be keeping an eye on the likes of James Rodriguez (£3.23), Alvaro Morata (£3.39) and Gareth Bale (£2.85) looking for any clues at all should they put in a bad shift or not even make the starting 11.

The defeat for Atletico last time out had an air of the end of an era of Simeone’s men who have achieved so much over the last few years. Winning La Liga and of course making two Champions League finals.  Atleti have several questions hanging over them this summer, will the manager stay after his contract negotiations? Will Index favourite Antoine Griezmann (£5.29) move to Old Trafford? and how will Atletico pay for there new stadium? This much uncertainty around the club is leading to the feeling of an era drawing to a close. One thing for sure though is that Cholo’s men will go down fighting this evening and the likes of Yannick Carrasco (£1.08), Koke (£0.58) and Saul Niguez (Squad List 3) will be looking to stop their city rivals in their tracks.

One last hurrah for Simeone?
