Beta Site Update

Hi Everyone. I think it’s about time we shared our progress on the Beta site with you. Our original release of the beta site didn’t land as well as we envisaged, so I hope with this post I can restore some excitement and trust about what’s to come in the future.

Firstly I want to talk about where we are going with the beta site and hopefully be a little more transparent in our approach.

Very soon we will be re-releasing the beta site into the wild. There will be a small period of time where we can iron out any issues and make any necessary changes, after this period the Beta site will replace the current production site.

New additions to the beta site include:

  • New trading charts (We are particularly interested in what types of charts Traders would like to see)
  • A new stats page for every footballer that will show Match Day Points and Match Stats for each scoring metric.

New features to come will include:

  • A new polished UI
  • New sidebar content that is expandable/collapsable.
  • Improved Match Day Rankings layout
  • Improved Portfolio view
  • Improved Watchlist.

Work has also begun on the implementation of Order Books, this will be a lengthy process. The ultimate goal is to turn the beta site into an advanced trading platform. I have seen many posts and comments from Traders that are worried that Order Books will be confusing and only suit ‘Pro Traders’ – I must stress that we are considering the needs of all types of Traders.

Our focus won’t be 100% on Order Books however, we have a number of exciting new features and ideas that we are working on to make Football Index a better experience for everyone.

With that cleared up I have some designs to show:

If you would like to leave any feedback on the new designs I have started a thread over on the FI Forum
